The Aqeeda of Imam al-Bukhari Died

Imam Al-Bukhari, renowned for his dedication to knowledge, affirms to have spent more than four and a half decades traversing the expanse of Islamic territories, enriching himself with the wisdom of his contemporaries. Throughout his journeys, he engaged with over a thousand scholars, engaging in a reciprocal exchange of knowledge and insights. This work stands as a translation of a treatise attributed to Imam Bukhari, which is a component of the Aqeedah (Creed) compendium known as “Sharh Usool Itiqaad Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah” – an elucidation of the foundational beliefs of the adherents of the Sunnah and the Congregation.

This translation encapsulates the essence of some tenets within the Creed of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah. Its relevance remains as potent today as it was a millennium ago, if not more so. The proliferation of confusion regarding matters of methodology and creed has surged, rendering this text an even more invaluable guide. As the words of Imam Malik Bin Anas (Died 179 AH) resound, the restoration of the latter part of this Ummah hinges upon the remedies that rectified its earlier phases.
