Imam Yahya’s influence extends further, as he holds the distinction of being a Minister of Religion, endowed with the authority to solemnize marriages for the Australian Islamic community. He continues to be an integral member of the Australian National Imam’s Council and contributes his insights to several advisory boards.
Acknowledging his significant contributions to Western Australia, Imam Yahya was bestowed with the Individual Excellence Award in Community Service by the West Australian Government. This recognition underscores his enduring dedication to serving the community and fostering positive change.
