Presently, a multitude of individuals find themselves perplexed regarding the concept of Khilāfah. Some advocate for its reinstatement, others approach it with apprehension, while a few outright reject it.
Several Muslim political activist groups have emerged with the aim of re-establishing the Caliphate. These include:
- Al-Ikhwān al-Muslimūn (The Muslim Brotherhood)
- Ḥizb ut-Taḥrīr (The Liberation Party)
- Al-Jamā‘ah al-Islāmīyyah (Jamaat-e-Islami)
- Al-Qā‘edah, ISIS, and similar groups
Although their strategies may diverge, they share commonalities.
This book stems from the conversion and expansion of my Master’s thesis. Drawing upon a multitude of resources and an in-depth review of Ḥizb ut-Taḥrīr’s literature, this critical analysis incorporates direct references to the works of Ḥizb ut-Taḥrīr. The book’s objective is to elucidate the foundational tenets of Ḥizb ut-Taḥrīr’s ideology in relation to the Noble Qur’ān, authentic Sunnah, and the viewpoints of classical Muslim scholarship.
Upon nearing the book’s conclusion, readers will be presented with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the perspective through which these movements and groups perceive the world. At this juncture, individuals can independently assess whether these entities genuinely adhere to the teachings of the Noble Qur’ān and the authentic Sunnah.
