This is a set of six books from the Islamic Education Series. Given the pressing need for Islamic studies material in schools that incorporate the subject in English, Darussalam has taken the initiative to publish an Islamic Studies series encompassing all grades, from grade one through grade twelve. This series comprehensively covers all areas of Islamic studies: tafsir, hadith, tawheed, fiqh, seerah, and general etiquette relating to various situations. Considering the significance of authentic Islamic knowledge, every effort has been exerted to ensure the material presented in the series is genuinely accurate.
Moreover, recognizing the importance of Arabic Islamic terms, most terms are featured in their original Arabic script, accompanied by transliteration and translation of their meanings. This approach extends to supplications that need to be memorized in their Arabic version. The primary aim is to facilitate the reader’s engagement with the original text and enhance their comprehension. Each lesson is succeeded by exercises encompassing questions about the lesson.
A distinctive aspect of this series lies in the vibrant artwork employed, which will undoubtedly captivate children’s interest. This captivating visual appeal simultaneously engages, entertains, and educates young readers. The series is designed to familiarize students with the complete spectrum of Islamic teachings: beliefs, practices, and moral conduct. This unique series effectively addresses a longstanding gap in this realm that has regrettably received only partial attention.
The inception of this remarkable work was spearheaded by an education expert, Maulvi Abdul Aziz, MA in English literature. He held various positions in the field, including Senior Administrative Officer in the Department of Private Education, Ministry of Education, Dubai, UAE, from 1982 to 2002. The present project owes its current form to several individuals who provided insightful suggestions. Notably, Al-Arabee Ben Razzouq from the College of Languages and Translation, Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University, Riyadh, painstakingly verified the authenticity of the series’ material, meticulously proofread the text, and included references to specific quotations from the Qur’an and hadith.
Appreciation also extends to Sheikh Abdul-Qawiy Luqman, a graduate of Al-Madeenah University, for his valuable input, and to Mr. Zulfiqar Mahmood, who applied his graphic design expertise diligently to impeccably present the series. We pray to Almighty Allah to reward our endeavors and to make this series immensely beneficial to students at all educational levels, as well as to all readers.
