Recognizing the urgent need for Islamic studies material in schools where the subject is taught in English, Darussalam has undertaken the task of publishing a comprehensive Islamic Studies series encompassing all grades, from one to twelve. This series covers all facets of Islamic studies: tafseer, hadeeth, tawheed, fiqh, seerah, and general etiquette relevant to various contexts. Ensuring the authenticity of Islamic knowledge is paramount, and every effort has been made to present accurate material throughout the series. Additionally, given the significance of Arabic Islamic terms, most terms are presented in their original Arabic script, accompanied by transliteration and translation, including supplications that are to be memorized in their Arabic form. The objective is to facilitate reading the original text and comprehending its meaning. Each lesson is followed by exercises containing questions pertaining to the lesson. Notably, the series features vibrant artwork that is certain to captivate children. This visual element is designed to not only attract young readers’ attention but also engage, amuse, and educate them. The series aims to familiarize students with the teachings of Islam across all aspects: beliefs, practices, and moral conduct. With its distinct attributes, this series effectively addresses a long-standing gap in this field. The project was initiated by education expert Maulvi Abdul Aziz, MA in English literature, who held various positions including Senior Administrative Officer in the Department of Private Education, Ministry of Education, Dubai, UAE, from 1982 to 2002.
