Introducing the “A Reader Series: Ali ibn Abi Taalib (R.A.)” โ an exploration of the History of Islam during the age of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs. This marks the fourth installment in the series, delving into the remarkable life of Ali ibn Abi Talib (R.A.), the last of the Four Rightly-Guided Caliphs.
Ali’s significance resonates deeply as he emerged as the first male to embrace Islam at the tender age of around nine. He shared a special bond as the beloved cousin of the Prophet Muhammad ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู and was the son of Abu Talib, a staunch and protective uncle who shielded the Prophet ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู during the early challenges of his Prophethood.
Ali’s unwavering dedication to the Prophet ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู was exemplified during the Hijrah (migration) from Makkah to Madinah. He courageously acted as the Prophet’s ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู decoy, allowing the Prophet ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู to escape under the cover of night, accompanied by Abu Bakr (R.A.).
Darussalam has undertaken the mission to present the complete History of Islam in a language that resonates with our youth, offering a simple yet eloquent narrative. The initial four volumes of this series illuminate the era of the first Four Rightly-Guided Caliphs. Subsequent volumes will continue to unveil the rich tapestry of Islamic history, spanning from ancient times to the present, Insha’Allah.
