Islamic Studies (Grade 10)

Recognizing the urgent demand for Islamic studies resources within English-medium schools, Darussalam has undertaken the endeavor of producing an all-encompassing Islamic Studies series spanning grades one to twelve. Encompassing the entirety of Islamic studies, including tafseer, hadeeth, tawheed, fiqh, seerah, and comprehensive etiquette applicable across diverse contexts, our unwavering commitment to authenticity is evident in the materials presented. Vital Arabic Islamic terms are predominantly showcased in their original script, supported by transliterations and meaningful translations – a practice extended to supplications intended for memorization in their Arabic form. This approach aims to facilitate an engagement with the original text and an enriched understanding thereof. Each lesson is accompanied by exercises meticulously designed to probe its content. A particularly captivating feature of this series lies in its vibrant artwork, thoughtfully curated to resonate with children, effectively capturing their focus, inspiring them, and ensuring an engaging and educational experience. The underlying objective of this series is to familiarize students with the multifaceted teachings of Islam – encompassing beliefs, practices, and moral conduct. A distinctiveness marked by its unique attributes addresses a longstanding void within this realm, one that has regrettably endured partial neglect. The inception of this remarkable initiative is attributed to education specialist Maulvi Abdul Aziz, MA in English literature. His versatile roles, including Senior Administrative Officer in the Department of Private Education, Ministry of Education, Dubai, UAE, from 1982 to 2002, shaped the trajectory of this profound endeavor. Presently, the series owes its form and existence to numerous contributors, prominently Al-Arabee Ben Razzouq of the College of Languages and Translation at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University, Riyadh. Al-Arabee diligently verified the authenticity of content, meticulously proofreading and embedding references to pivotal Qur’anic and hadeeth quotations. Gratitude extends to Sheikh Abdul-Qawiy Luqman, an Al-Madeenah University graduate, for insightful contributions, and to Mr. Zulfiqar Mahmood, whose unwavering commitment to graphic design expertise has crystallized the series impeccably. As we embark upon this venture, we beseech Almighty Allah to bless our endeavors, ensuring that this series emerges as a wellspring of profound benefit, enriching the educational journey of students across all levels and leaving an indelible impact on all who engage with its contents.
