Islamic Studies (Grade 3)
Islamic Studies (Grade 3)
This set comprises six books from the Islamic Education Series. Recognizing the urgent need for Islamic studies material in schools that teach the subject in English, Darussalam has undertaken the publication of an Islamic Studies series spanning grades one through twelve. Encompassing various areas of Islamic studies – tafseer, hadeeth, tawheed, fiqh, seerah, and general etiquette across different situations – this series prioritizes authentic Islamic knowledge. To emphasize the significance of Arabic Islamic terms, most terms are presented in their original Arabic script, alongside transliteration and translation. The same approach applies to supplications intended for memorization. The goal is to enable readers to engage with the original text and comprehend its meanings. Each lesson is followed by exercises that pose questions about the material. An eye-catching feature of the series is its vibrant artwork, which is sure to captivate and engage young readers while educating them. The series aims to familiarize students with all aspects of Islam: beliefs, practices, and moral conduct. With its distinctive features, this series effectively addresses a longstanding gap in this area. The project was initiated by education expert Maulvi Abdul Aziz, MA in English literature, who held various positions in the field, including Senior Administrative Officer in the Department of Private Education, Ministry of Education, Dubai, UAE, from 1982 to 2002. The project’s current form owes much to the contributions of several individuals. Al-Arabee Ben Razzouq, from the College of Languages and Translation, Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University, Riyadh, meticulously verified the authenticity of the material, proofread the text, and added references to specific quotations from the Qur’an and hadeeth. Sheikh Abdul-Qawiy Luqman, an Al-Madeenah University graduate, provided valuable suggestions, and Mr. Zulfiqar Mahmood applied his graphic design expertise to give the series its impressive appearance. We beseech Almighty Allah to bless our efforts and ensure that this series greatly benefits students across all education stages and anyone who engages with it. Abdul Malik Mujahid, Jumaadaa ath-Thaaniyah, 1428 AH (July 2007).
