According to reports, the Messenger of Allah declared that a group of people from his nation will always uphold the truth and will remain unharmed by those who abandon them. Al-Imฤm Aแธฅmad ibn แธคanbal stated that if these people are not the แธฅadฤซth adherents, then he is unsure who they could be. Al-แธคฤfiz Ibn แธคajar added that al-Khaแนญฤซb wrote extensively on almost every aspect of al-แธฅadฤซth and that many แธฅadฤซth masters after him depended on his books. Mullฤ สฟAlฤซ al-Qฤrฤซ compared this to al-Shฤfiสฟฤซ’s statement that everyone is dependent on Abฤซ แธคanฤซfah in jurisprudence. This information can be found in the Sharแธฅ Sharแธฅ Nukhbati โl-Fikar (139-141).
In this book of mine, I will mention what was narrated from the Messenger of Allah, as well as from the Companions and their followers, and the scholars who succeeded them. It encourages reporting from the Messenger of Allah and the virtue of transmitting what was heard from him. The book also pertains to the honor of the แธฅadฤซth adherents, their virtue, high status, nobility, and their mentioned merits and transmitted characteristics. All of this is by the will of Allah.
