The concept behind the Colour Coded Tajweed Holy Quran derives from a practical grasp of phonology. To enhance the accurate recitation of the Holy Quran, we’ve introduced color coding to designate the placement of certain letters. This method has led us to classify these letters into three distinct categories, aiming to enrich the reader’s familiarity and retention of Tajweed rules:
- Letters requiring expanded vocalization are highlighted in vibrant red.
- Nasalized letters are elegantly portrayed in soothing green.
- Dark blue signifies the emphatic nature of the letter (R), while blue denotes unresting letters – the echoing sound (qualquala). Unpronounced letters are gracefully rendered in gray.
Adapting to reciting the Quran using colors is as intuitive as following red and green lights on the road. By embracing this sublime practice, the reader seamlessly applies the 24 rules of Tajweed, achieving precision and ease, while allowing their mind to delve into comprehending and grasping the profound meaning of the Holy Quran.
Dar Al-Maarifa takes pride in adopting and offering this meticulous methodology, extensively examined and validated by the Committee of The Noble Quran, as evident from the meticulous assessment of the passages presented at its conclusion. This method serves as a testament to our commitment to ensuring the accurate and meaningful recitation of the Quran.
