Among the six collections, Sunan An-Nasai contains the fewest weak Ahadith after the two Sahih collections. Also known as al-Mujtaba or as-Sunan as-Sughara, it is a synopsis of a larger compilation of Ahadith that the author, Imam Abu Abdur-Rahman Ahmad bin Shu’aib bin Bahr An-Nasai (Nasa’ of Khurasan) (214-303AH), considered fairly reliable. Only the Ahadith he deemed reliable were included in this smaller compilation. Imam An-Nasai, like other great scholars of Hadith, embarked on journeys to Baghdad, Ash-Sham, Egypt, Mecca, and other cities in search of knowledge, receiving accolades from esteemed scholars like Ad-Daraqutni.
His compilation is highly regarded, with some scholars considering it to have the least number of defective or weak narrations among the four Sunan. Boasting 5761 Ahadith, this book holds immense value for any library.
